Not to get all "dear diary" on you ...

After 12 years, I'm leaving NYC and heading West out to pasture. We're packin' up and road-tripping it before Feb 1.

Downtown Minnesota will be my new home. New York City was great, exciting, and smelled like piss in the Summer (literally), but I want a dog, I want to see the horizon, and I want to kick a soccer ball on the grass without getting a $150 ticket.

Cons- I'll miss all those impromptu NG meets with Luis and co.

Pros - My new place is twice as big and has a decent-sized room that will be converted into a home recording studio. Seeing as I'll no longer have Edge Studio in my general vacinity, my wife and I have agreed to invest a hefty chunk of change into equipment and treatment of the space.

With that, Imma try to convince some of you East coast NG assholes to come hang out once before the month's end.

In other news, some really fun projects on the horizon, some waiting at the gates, some just starting to come together.

Thanks for all the support for CLAP2. I promise the third one will actually be good.

Thanks to Osuka and judges for the role of the professor. The whole audition/competition was a blood bath of talented folks. I consider myself very lucky.

I started a blog ... kinda. Still under construction. Still not sure if I'll really keep it up.

Happy 2012 . Let's make it count.

I'll certainly try. Jan is hard because everyone is getting back into the swing of things ... Feb tends to be easier to arrange stuff ... but of course I'll be gone by then. That said, I never need an excuse to go drink, and the more the merrier.

This Thursday is Winter Beer Night at the Philadelphia Barcade if you happen to end up on a train! I should try and do a Brooklyn Barcade visit before it's too late... Bummer you won't be around for the NYC Meetup in May. :(

Depending on if I get a job I want as a voice over designer, i'm considering moving out to a small town somewhere where i can, like you, smack up a proper studio. would never be able to afford that in the city, especially not since i live in a central part right now.

not only that, but the noise will be minimal (relatively). Plus, my wife's father works some of the companies that make the acoustic foam stuff. Whether I get a deal or not, at least I'll have easy access to it.

I like the piss smell actually. i have it as a Tip in four square when you are in the train station to take a deep breath and smell the centuries of piss smell that has stayed stagnant in the station. Its nostalgia at its finest. Anyway let me know if you plan something out. Provided its not when I'm in the UK id be game for the new york piss smell

The bad piss is in the Summer ... when the Fall, Winter, Spring build up of sidewalk dog and hobo piss is exhumed from the cracks in the pavement by the oppressive humidity. In some places it is quite literally like walking through a cloud of rancid dog pee.
