The Past // Batman : The Droppings
All in all, as an exercise in animation, I'm very happy. In retrospect, I took on a little too much (in terms of fbf, shading, backgrounds, etc.), while ultimately spending less time refining the actual content. I won't apologize for the fart jokes, that's an issue of taste (or tastelessness), though even those gags weren't pulled off in the best way. I have a hard time explaining the process on this flash, but it basically comes down to "it got away from me, like a fish flailing out of my hands." The more I invested, the more I wanted to shape it, the more it came slipping out of my hands.
That said, I don't think Brock's voice and Kami's art were ill-used, there was a lot of energy and time invested in it, and for those who did enjoy it, they seemed to enjoy it quite it bit. All in all it got some good face-time thanks to Tom and NG and Brock and Ego on YT, and I hope it helped promote the other folks who made this flash possible (Kami, Devastus, and Brock ... not that he needs it :P)
I'm also curious what the traffic stats were on NG, as I tried to siphon some YT viewers into checking it out here for additional Flash-Only additional content. If it proved to boost the numbers even a little, I'm certainly tempted to up the ante on "additional Newgrounds exclusive content".
ALSO, I've been having a great time watching DeathInk draw stuff. Dude, you are so talented.

The Present // Sonic toon
Already well under way, this toon was initially one gag and has already begun to grow like a fungus. I won't be letting this one get out of hand. I'll also be focusing a lot more on the line-art quality. Probably less inbetween frames, but more keyframe poses. Keeping this one simple, so I can focus on a solid product while utilizing the process to really learn.

Please know I love your stuff either way so allow me some irrelevant post :-P
Not sure whether or not you know Dota 2, but the Announcer is pretty important there, and as the game is still in the closed Beta phase, I think you could get something out of it. Valve, currently working on Dota 2, is offering Announcer Packs for it so that the community may buy these in the ingame shop.
You the great voice actor we all know could do such an announcer pack too, either an official one, or a fanmade one. Fanmades have a chance to be approved by Valve and then to appear at the shop as well.
It's just a stupid idea, really, I just thought it would be cool if people could "buy" your announcer pack in case you're going to submit one :P

I gotta say, I loved how manic (and stupid) Harley got in the flash "Scooby snacks!"
The sonic anim is looking pretty good, I'm curious to see what you'll do with him, can't wait!
Seriously, for a character that was once supposed to be a psychiatrist, Harley couldn't sound more stupid.

that sonic animation is quite mezmorizing to look at. is his running stance going to change in the final production? It does look good right now, but try making the motion blur of his feet getting bigger and smaller and making the shine from his feet move more too (though this suggestion is more of a nitpick, its fine the way it is). good luck.
lol you see it for just a fraction of a second, so I dunno how much more i'mma do with it.

Lol, I played 3 times Arkham City so I got every single joke. I feel Identified with the"Are you too chicken to come down here?" They say that stuff always. Also I really found very stupid that the Batman Capsules says WAYNE TECH

Ok dude calm down. You made your point. I just asked that question out of curiosity. Sonic 1 was probably the first game I've ever played ever, so I guess I get your point on "family".
All I'm saying is there are a lot of Sonic parodies out there that kinda makes it a vast ocean of videos. Although the really good ones stand out, which I'm sure yours will be one of them.
I am a fucking huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan and I've been since practically the day I was 6, even though I never witnessed his beginning. So basically, I would appreciate it if you start thinking that loving something based off duration is less important than loving it itself. :/
What I'm saying is I don't "love" it. It's just something that's very engrained in me. In terms of the vast ocean of parodies, I'm sure there are. I'm not making this to stand out, I'm making it to get better at animation and tell a joke. Hopefully people will like it, including fans of Sonic like yourself.

I'd like to do more ... like out takes and deleted stuff ... it just tends to really bulk up the swf size ... I'll figure something out. But I do have like 3x more views on NG than YT, so it mathematically conceivable that a chunk of YT viewers were directed here ...

Darn I tried using Google Analytics to check for your URL as a referrer but it seems like it only shows the root domains and not specific pages that have sent traffic over. If we wanted to get really fancy we could try some sort of referral tracking URL to track clicks... There are services that offer that but I don't know which ones are any good. Neither. Who the fuck is "everybody"? HotD made one that I didn't even know about until I started this, and Ego made one last year. I'm making it cuz there's a joke I've had that no one's done, and I had the idea since I was a kid. You do realize I was 11 when the very first Sonic came out. Meaning, I grew up on Sonic. I don't like all this super Saiyan dark knight sword sonic shit. I've had more years with sonic than you've been alive, so I don't have to be a "fan" to make a video about him, he's fucking family.

The Batman parody was really random but I found the jokes with a lot of sense. I canñt wait to see the Sonic one
it was way random ... but i did try to insert a lot of jokes that were relevant to the game ... i think a lot of them got missed though :(
