Firefox = updating non-stop, unstable crashy bullshit. They lure you in with the promise of it being better than IE/Safari, WHICH IS IS, but that still doesn't solve everything.
Chrome is great in all the ways that firefox isn't.... it lacks a few seemingly "standard" features, greanted, but you kind of quickly realize that you only ever used those features in the first place because they were there and not because you actually need them. It's a bit of a tradeoff but I would take Chrome over Firefox any day, if I only had to choose one. But then, you don't, and you can actually have both. So what is there to lose?
Also since Google runs the internet now (fact), it just serves to reason that they would make the best browser (fact) for their internet (fact).
