* rips up talking cat script *

Yeah, sorry, this was my passive way of turning down the cat script. Sorry, boss ;)

I see... Well if thats your decision that's good. But are you still gonna be in series you said you would be in? Like my show, for example? :|

There's a number of projects I said yes to a while back that never actually happened, or have yet to happen.

If I committed myself, then I'm committed. I recall liking your, though.

i understand you, chinese boy.i liked the boss thing to tom btw,and im not going to start animating in the next 2 years and such so dont u worry ei?

ok .

oh well i see. you can do whadava ya want with your voice, man ^^
i hope my flash wasn one of the source of this decision D:

No. It has more to do with a lot of factors, including my moving from NYC. I have less and less free time, and my personal projects have been pushed to the side. There's a difference between throwing my voice around to 30 projects in a month, and investing myself in a handful of projects while working on my own stuff.

Fair point; it's kind of you to try to support budding animators, but you shouldn't over do it, as it'll inevitably exhaust you, and you should definitely prioritize projects that genuinely perk you interest.

And yes, such animators would normally need much more help with script writing and animating than anything else; problem is, that's a full tim8e job in itself...

That's all part of it. I was most concerned with my belief that by voicing every little project that came my way, I was helping ... but that's true only for the short term. If I truly wanted to be supportive, I'd turn stuff down or ask the creators to re-write their work (if needed), because then rather than just throwing it up on newgrounds, hopefully they'd take the time to go back and improve on the foundation.

Fair enough, RESPECT.

also, just saw this after my post - any female VA's you could point my way? :)

There's lots, I'll pm you.

It was about time to be honest.

I slowly started to realize as well that everything you touched turned into gold award pieces.

It kind of made me think less of you. Not that it matters.

Glad to hear you're gonna step it down a bit. Because what good is a lock that can be opened by all the keys in the world right?

Good luck with your future projects man! And I hope that one day I'll be professional enough to work with you.

One day...

thanks

(in tears) You have such a way with words. Warms my heart.

However, I'm sure you know what will happen if you decline a VA job on my next project. Of course that's under the assumption I actually get the god damn thing started. If you're interested in helping with the writing process, I'd love to run some stuff by you.

One more thing...In keeping with tradition, I must ask...WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH 24HRC??!!

After I settle into to MN :P So probably mid Feb.

Sounds fair. So, can you voiceact in my newest Flash? I'm sure with the right attitude we can convince Tom to keep it off the frontpage :)

lol shoot me the script!

Hey Rice you wanna voice for an animation that'll never come out. It'll be great! It'll have it all. Arrow to the knee jokes... knee to the arrow... jokes. Skyrim... koo bla blayell jookes! BRILLIANCE. So waddya say?

fus ro no.

Well, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the voices you've contributed to my projects. Whether or not your name influenced the scores, I really appreciated your contributions.

I really enjoy your work, man. It stands on it's own :)

I couldn't read the first half without seeing a huge diagonal slash down the negative space of paragraphs 3, 4 and 5. I HOPE I am not the only one who was thinking that the whole time.

lol

"look at me I'm Ricepirate, I'm too good for you peasant folk!"

wow that woulda saved lots of typing, i shoulda just asked for your summary. thanks turtlecoompany

ho

Honestly, i agree with your argument about how every project you seem to do will get drooled over just because you are in it; However, there is one thing i disagree on. You said that people might only ask you to voice their animation because the lust for a spot on the Frontpage, but that's not necessarily true. I'm sure you know this very well, but you are very "respected" in Newgrounds, therefore people see it as a, honor, if you will, to have you voice in their projects. I'm sure most of them don't care about the awards or the frontpage, just the feeling of having the closet thing to a celebrity work in YOUR own project is enough for them. As i would like to say this is the case 100% of the time, I'd be lying. I know that a few people probably consult you just because they want recognition, but you shouldn't really pair the majority with the minority. No offense Rice Pirate~. BTW I'M A HUGGGGGGGE FAN OF YOURS!!!!

sorry bout that weird ass last sentence :3

lol

I agree with your assessment. If your popularity is getting in the way of the author's skill growth then it's probably best to not participate.

You could go the Stephen King route and use a pseudonym or demand to not be credited if you still want to help out the start-up artists.

that's true, but it's still the idea if i really want to help a beginner, I'd do them a bigger favor than voicing, I'd try to help with maturing the idea (if I can, or if it needs it)

hope this aint cause of my short n stuff :(

I definitely understand though

don't be silly, you pony-loving robosexual <3

Dude, this sums up a lot of my thoughts lately. I hope you don't mind me adopting/paraphrasing some of this for personal use down the road?

course :)

I fully understand and respect that. I hope you know, I asked you to voice all those projects because you're a brilliant voice actor, you're reliable and you somehow make sense of my scripts.

I wish you many(un-needed) luck on your bright future sir :)

i need it !!!!!

That's basically been my mindset for the past several months.

Keep on rockin', brotha.

you too yo
