Bummed as I am, I'm happy that a new Pokemon toon is out, animated by the very talented Hbrunav. It's a cute little story about a boy named Ash who makes a new friend in the wilderness. Kinda.

NEW TOON > KONY2012
Also, the recent release of KONY2012 (by psychicpebbles) cheered me up. If you haven't seen it, go check it out. Aside from the usual Pebbles-humor, it features the voices of Ego, Tomar, and myself, as well as some surprisingly touching music by Oney. And by "touching", I mean like that of the gentle caress of a baby seal on muh bawlz.

NEW HOME STUDIO
The studio is coming along really nicely. The foam's been up for a week, and I've got my ProTools, Mbox, and AT4033 ... still missing my pre-amp, and the Mojave mic (which I'll be doing a comparison).

The space isn't huge, but it's not a closet either. Honestly the foam is very reasonable. Was maybe 800 for all the treatment. I can link you the specs, but auralex does free quotes and specs if you send them the dimensions.

Good god that looks like an EQing nightmare.

Unless that room's bigger than it looks. If the EQing in a problem, you can fix it with any super cardioid mic, but you'll be sacrificing the ability to move around much because of how small their on-axis area is.

You good at dem pro tools? I can give you some tutorials on editing techniques using all the wacky shit in that program and...shit...if you want...I mean, you don't HAVE to...

Regardless, I'm looking forward to hearing the samples of the new mic in that space. It'll be interesting to hear how you dealt with the space in protools.

Never used protools, so I could use all the help I can get. And the room isn't that big, but it's not tiny, it's 41sq ft of floor space (but with that sloped ceiling).

Eq-ing, working with the pre-amp AND mbox ... the ProTools interface ... it's all new to me.
